Lakota West PTSO will be awarding up to ten $500 post-secondary scholarships. The applications and essays are due by the end of school on FRIDAY, APRIL 8. You may apply in more than one category. Please complete one form for each entry. Please click on the button below to complete the form(s).

 

To be eligible for one of the PTSO Scholarships:

  • Be a graduating Lakota West High School senior.
  • Must have applied to or have been accepted to a post-secondary institution.
  • No minimum GPA requirement.
  • Scholarship is not based on financial need.

Selection

  • Recipients will be chosen by a committee of PTSO members and Lakota West staff.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Categories

  • Firebird Champion - What have you done to make Lakota West a better place? Why are you passionate about West? How have you left your mark on Lakota West?
  • Making a Difference - Describe a major project/endeavor in which you have made a significant impact on others. Describe your lifelong commitment and passion for helping others or improving the community.
  • Impact - Write about the impact a certain activity (sports, theater, band, etc) has had on your life.
  • Chase Your Dream - How are you following your life long dream?
  • Non-Traditional - How has your non-traditional path helped and prepared you for post-secondary education? Butler Tech, ESL, Lakota Career Readiness Academy, Online Education, Homeschool, etc.
  • Reach Beyond - Describe a time when you faced an obstacle in your path. How did you manage and what did you learn?
  • You Inspire Me - In your life, who has inspired you to pursue a specific job or career?
