Cyber Business Partners

Come into one of our high school buildings or present virtually to a classroom of students on a requested topic or your personal area of expertise.  This is a great opportunity for those who have busy schedules but would like to share their passion for a certain topic with our students.

Come into one of our high school buildings once a month to meet with a small group of students and have conversations about their learning.  This is a wonderful experience for those who want to develop relationships with our students to guide their professional paths, and to share their personal journey in the industry.

Bring a hack-a-thon type challenge to our students, let them break the box and try new things based on previous challenges you’ve faced in the industry. Scrub the data and give our kids an opportunity to ‘see what they would do’ in your shoes. This is a great opportunity to see what our kids can do and allow them to try out their knowledge in ‘real life’ scenarios.

Bring students into your business to let them see what your spaces look like, chat with industry professionals, and learn what a ‘day in the life’ is like. This is a great way for students to observe directly what cyber professionals do in real-life scenarios. 

A paid internship experience is one of the most valuable ways for students to learn on the job while progressing through their education. It is also a great way to identify and internally train the next generation of cyber talent to come work for you in the future!
We will work with you to help set up internship details and student placement.

The Real World Learning components of the Lakota Cyber Academy help develop our students in a way that prepares them for the cybersecurity industry. Much of this preparation results from co-curricular activities such as certification testing, competing in student competitions, attending student conferences, and more. The cost of these supplemental experiences is over and above a typical classroom operational cost, and sponsorships help make these possible.
