This beginning high school level choral group is for all incoming ninth graders and is held at the freshman campus. This class follows the Ohio State Performing Arts Curriculum and allows our students the opportunity to study a variety of music literature. In this class, emphasis is placed on correct vocal production, aural/sight-reading skills, music theory/pedagogy, and appropriate performance/ rehearsal disciplines. 

This intermediate choral group includes beginning and intermediate high school level bass singers in graders 10-12 and is held at main campus. This class follows the Ohio State Performing Arts Curriculum and allows students the opportunity to study a variety of music literature at varying levels of difficulty. Emphasis is placed on correct vocal production, aural skills/sight-reading, music theory/pedagogy, and appropriate performance/rehearsal disciplines. Men’s Choir will perform at four concerts throughout the year and will participate in various OMEA district and state events.  

This advanced choral group is for treble singers in grades 10-12. Singers will be chosen for this group based upon assessments of vocal independence, harmonization abilities and sight-singing skills. Evidence of maturity and cooperative learning abilities is also necessary.  This class follows the Ohio State Performing Arts Curriculum and challenges students to achieve greater vocal independence, superior sight-reading and audiation skills, and consistent quality tonal production. 

This ensemble rehearses and performs a wide repertoire of high-caliber, collegiate-level choral literature from a variety of musical genres and periods. Bel Canto will perform at four concerts throughout the year and participate in various OMEA district and state events as well as at several community events throughout the year.

This advanced choral group is for treble and bass singers in grades 11-12 and earns weighted honors credit. Students must have sung in a Lakota West Choir for at least one year to be eligible for this group and will be chosen for based upon assessments of vocal independence, harmonization abilities and sight-singing skills.
