Important Message for Firebird Families
On May 23, 2024, Principal Ben Brown shared this important message with Lakota West families:
Dear Firebird Families,
It is with mixed emotions that I am reaching out to all of you. I have accepted the position of Principal/Executive Director of High School Experience of Mason High School, beginning with the new school year.
This decision did not come easily for me. Working with the students and staff at Lakota West has been tremendously fulfilling. I am very proud of what our teachers, staff and students achieve together every day. I have been honored to see great things come to life in our building because of the sense of community we have at Lakota West.
Our district administrators will begin the search for a new principal for our school and will make an announcement once the right person has been found.
Thank you for all of the support and community you have shown me. Lakota West is a special place and I am proud to have been a part of this community.
