Lakota West Main Campus Announcements
 

• If you received a PBIS Raffle Ticket last week for not being tardy, please redeem that today at lunch. There will be a new target behavior this week – no missing work!

• The Lakota West Math Club Mu Alpha Theta will be having its first meeting on Tuesday, September 1^st at 3:00PM in room 231.

• Love French culture, great food, or just want to try something new? Come to our first French Club meeting of the year! We will be kicking off the semester with a French cheese tasting while we brainstorm and plan our events and activities for the year. This is your club, so come share your ideas and help shape what we do! Whether you are fluent, taking your first French class, or just curious, everyone is welcome-no prior French experience required. We will meet on Thursday, Sept. 4 in room 103 from 3:00-3:45. Bring a friend, enjoy some delicious cheese, and help us make this year fantastic!

• Women in Cybersecurity will have its first meeting today after school in room 243. Come to hang out and discuss plans for the club this year. Snacks will be provided. Everyone is welcome. We can’t wait to see you there!

• Students needing an appointment with your school counselor – there are now QR codes outside the office to request a meeting as needed.

• Seniors – please listen up -XH begins 9/16. If you have a senior flex sixth and/or seventh bell and would like to flex out of XH, please stop by the Counseling Office to pick up the form to complete.

  Have the form completed and returned to the Counseling office no later than 9/4/26 to begin XH Senior Flex on 9/16.

• SENIORS interested in applying for the Lakota West National Honor Society and have a 3.5 weighted or unweighted GPA, may pick up an NHS application beginning Friday, August 28th through Friday, September 4^th in Mrs. Weber’s Room 213.  All NHS applications must be returned to Mrs. Weber’s room no later than 3:00 PM on Friday, September 4^th. No late applications are accepted.

  These NHS applications are for SENIORS only, as juniors do not apply until the spring.

• For anyone interested in playing baseball this spring, there is an informational meeting in the community room today at 3:00.Open field will begin Wednesday, September 2 at 3:30. The rest of the schedule and the expectations will be distributed at the meeting.

• Interested in joining Drama Club? Come to the first Drama Club meeting of the school year, which will be held today at 3 PM in the Main Campus theatre! At this meeting, the fall play and spring musical will be announced, along with audition information, and ways to join the tech crew. Hope to see you there!

• Sign-ups for going to the library after school are in the Main Office. You must sign up at the Main Office before 8:30AM each day. No late sign-ups will be accepted.

• There will be a Lakota West Softball Informational Meeting for all girls Grades 9-12 who are interested in playing softball for Lakota West High School this spring. The Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00 PM in the Lakota West Freshman Auditorium. One parent will need to attend the meeting with their athlete. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Castner by email at keith.castner@lakotaonline.com    

• Anyone who parks in the junior parking lot will need to move their car immediately after school every day. That is also the band’s practice area. Cars/vehicles must be moved out of that area before 3:30.

• Are you interested in making a positive impact on our school community? Join us for the first Hope and Strength Club meeting today, immediately after school in the Lakota West Main Campus Hub. Hope and Strength is a club dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, education, and support for students. Come learn about the club, why it is important to our building, and how you can help create a more supportive and understanding school environment for everyone. The meeting will last approximately 45 minutes, and all students are welcome to attend. Please see Mrs. Yablonsky in Room 251 if you have any questions or concerns. We hope to see you there as we work together to build hope, strength, and support throughout our school! 

• HOSA Biomed is having its first meeting on Wednesday, September 9^th in room 189 at Main Campus. If you are thinking about a future in the medical field, please consider joining us! We will be talking about important dates, membership, and what you can expect from HOSA this year. We are excited to see you there!
